CACI Microdermabrasion

“Crystal Free Orbital System with LED Phototherapy”

Cleanse, Resurface & Brighten with Microdermabrasion

As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. Sometimes the body needs a little help. This facial enhancing treatment combines CACI crystal free microdermabrasion with LED light therapy. It will exfoliate the skin using a unique technology, to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

There are several light abrasion technologies available that can assist in removing the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin), those being Microdermabrasion or Lactic Acid Chemical Peels.

CACI Crystal Free Non Invasive Microdermabrasion

Exfoliate the skin to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion

The CACI Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion. The removal of the dead skin cells reveals the softer more youthful looking skin cells underneath.

The superficial abrasion of the skin also triggers the body’s own natural repair mechanism which commences the production of new collagen and releases glycoaminoglycans in order to rehydrate and replenish the recently abraded area. This has a remarkable softening action on surface lines and wrinkles.

The CACI microdermabrasion is unlike any traditional microdermabrasion that you may have tried before. These CACI treatments are non-invasive skin resurfacing treatments which exfoliate, reduce congestion and improve texture. The CACI system uses a new patented exfoliation technology designed to remove the outermost surface of the skin, significantly reducing skin imperfections and recent scars, leaving the skin clearer, smoother and silkier, with a more even complexion and youthful look. This treatment is very effective yet gentle to the skin, unlike any other traditional microdermabrasion techniques.

Orbital Microdermabrasion uses an abrasive diamond coated head to perform a progressive and controlled exfoliation. The Microdermabrasion procedure is not painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars.

Microdermabrasion can also be used to treat sun-damaged skin and to improve acne but must be repeated periodically to be effective. Different microdermabrasion methods are used to the exfoliate the skin.

  • Crystal & vacuum free – no respiratory implications or skin irritation
  • Anti-allergy & disposable tip – maximum hygiene
  • See and Feel – immediate results

CACI Orbital Microdermabrasion vs Crystal Dermabrasion

Traditional Crystal based Microdermabrasion uses a treatment hand piece that directs a fine mist of exfoliating crystals onto the skin surface. The used crystals and dead skin cells are then vacuumed back up into the treatment hand piece and deposited into a closed-filter container and discarded. The Crystal system is effective but it is difficult to use and get good results on areas close to the eyes and mouth, and of course there is a risk of stray crystals causing damage (particularly to the eyes) or being ingested.

The speed at which the hand piece is moved across the skin surface and the abrasiveness of the type of crystals used will determine the depth of abrasion. Aluminium oxide crystals are irregular in shape and provide an aggressive skin exfoliation. Quartz silica crystals are perfectly round microspheres that are less harsh on the skin and provide a gentle exfoliation, skin polishing and refining action on the skin.

The CACI Orbital Microdermabrasion system uses a hand piece that rotates at different speeds on an elliptical axis. Instead of using exfoliating crystals, orbital abrasion utilises a selection of disposable, abrasive treatment tips coated with a layer of silicon carbide (diamonds) to either superficially or deeply exfoliate the stratum corneum. The orbital rotation of the abrasive treatment tip performs a progressive and controlled skin exfoliation and polishes and massages the skin at the same time. The speed of rotation, the abrasiveness of the treatment tip selected and the speed at which the hand piece is moved across the skin surface determines the depth of abrasion. There are NO crystals that can inadvertently damage the eyes of interfere with the respiratory system using the CACI System.

Microdermabrasion for Acne Vulgaris & Acne Scars

Microdermabrasion acne vulgaris treatments are a popular option that can improve skin texture, remove blackheads and whiteheads, reduce acne scarring and surface pigmentation / hyperpigmentation.

This superficial cosmetic procedure can be used to treat the face or body, and it’s an excellent alternative or addition to chemical peels in the treatment of mild, non-inflammatory acne.

Microdermabrasion acne vulgaris treatments will give you smoother skin texture, and can minimise the appearance of enlarged pores and dark spots from previous break outs.

The microdermabrasion treatment is completed with an application of Vitamin C serum with hyaluronic acid. The perfect remedy for dull, dehydrated skins, focusing on acne, pigmentation and scarring.

While you may notice improvement after one procedure, treatments work best when performed every 10 – 14 days in a series. They cause minimal discomfort and may give your skin a pink “glow” (like a mild sunburn), but you’ll be able to carry on with your daily routine without any recovery time.

It’s important to know that microdermabrasion treatments alone will not keep your skin clear. You’ll also need to treat your skin daily at home with the proper skin care system to keep new plugs from forming in your pores.

Even though microdermabrasion acne treatment is safe and effective – it’s not for everyone.

Keep in mind, you cannot scrub your acne away

Microdermabrasion is a fairly aggressive procedure that can make many skin conditions worse. If you’re prone to inflamed acne – brushing, scrubbing, and other forms of “abrasion” will only aggravate your skin, trigger more break outs, and extend healing time.

If you have more than one or two inflamed acne lesions or you tend to break out regularly with pimples, pustules, nodules, or cysts, microdermabrasion acne treatments won’t work well and should not be performed.

Is Microdermabrasion suitable for me?

Consider Microdermabrasion If You Have;-
  • Dark Spots & Mild Acne Scars
  • Non-Inflamed Acne (such as blackheads and whiteheads)
  • Rough Texture
  • Thick, Dull, Excessively Oily Skin

If you suffer primarily with blackheads, whiteheads, or resistant “acne bumps” that are not inflamed, microdermabrasion acne treatment would be an excellent treatment for you.

The procedure is not painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars.

Microdermabrasion can also be used to treat sun-damaged skin and to improve acne but must be repeated periodically to be effective.

Avoid Microdermabrasion If You Have;-
  • Inflamed Acne or Tendency for Inflamed Break Outs
  • Rosacea
  • Psoriasis
  • Herpes Simplex (Cold Sores)
  • Sensitive, Thin, or Fragile Skin
  • Visible Capillaries and/or Broken Capillaries
  • Skin Colour that tends to suffer Pigmentation / Hyperpigmentation

If you have any of the conditions listed above, professional acne skin treatments such as IPL Photorejuvenation, mild clinical chemical skin peels, and a consistent home skin care routine would be better alternatives for you.

Peels, facials, IPL Photorejuvenation and LED Phototherapy will heal inflammation and prevent new break outs better than microdermabrasion without causing negative side effects.
